In my own words…
“I believe the spokenword to be powerful. For me, it was a way to vent. It was self therapeutic; an outlet. The spokenword saved my life“.
Being a single parent of three teenage children, I’ve bared witness to the hardships and am a living breathing testimony of how one can overcome diversity. I write from my true life experiences to save the next teen from traveling the same roads I once traveled. I shed light into the dark tunnels of the hopeless minds.
I was born into Female Empowerment. I was raised by a strong black woman that instilled womanly qualities in me. She taught me to be independent, to take responsibilities for my actions, and to never let anyone take away my joy.
I am on my path. My purpose in life is to save the lost souls. That is what I aspire to do thru my poetic teachings. Many have misjudged me. If you listen closely to my poetry and music you too will feel my pain and hear my struggle.
I represent many movements. I am Prophetic Poetry in Motion. I represent the Black Woman’s Struggle to Survive. Female Empowerment on the uprise!
Nothing but death can hold me back; and not even then will my works go unnoticed. I’m going to leave a legacy for the youths of today to carry on for tomorrow.
For they are the future…
